The Socorro Island Trips
The Best Big Animal Diving On Earth Located some 250 miles southwest of Cabo San Lucas, these remote volcanic islands, actually named the Revillagigedos are a "Big Animal" gathering place. Uninhabited except for a naval base, they have been called by many the "Mexican Galapagos". Home to whitetip, blacktip, Galapagos, tiger and schooling hammerhead sharks. Giant mantas with 15 to 20 feet wingspans are everywhere! In some areas these graceful giants encourage close human interaction like nowhere else in the world! You will encounter 200 pound Yellowfin Tuna, endless schools of other gamefish and many exotic reef fishes endemic to these islands only. If you desire a diving destination that is untouched by human influence and is infinitely abundant in marine life ... Big Marine Life, this trip should be your choice.

Our 8 day trips explore the Gorda Banks Seamount, known for encounters with large pelagics such as whale sharks and giant mantas; it is also one of the areas where hammerheads school. In addition to huge schools of jacks, tuna and other gamefish, marlin and wahoo are frequently seen. Continuing on to Cabo Pulmo, the largest living reef in the Sea, dive with enormous schools of reef fish, many of which are found nowhere else in the world. You can also find four-foot stingrays, sea lions, sea turtles, 100-pound groupers and many other unique experiences.
