SUMMER DIVE REPORT FROM
AMIGOS DEL MAR CABO SAN LUCAS
by Kevin Colter, PADI 41,910, NASDS 2,322
Can you believe it’s the end of September already??
The end of September marks the end of the summer diving season in Cabo. Here at Amigos Del Mar de Los Cabos we had one of the best summer dive seasons I’ve ever seen. The warm water started showing up in July and we were blessed by warm, clear water through the whole summer. Luckily we had very little storm activity through the summer which made the conditions even better.
Here are some photos for you of the great dives we did this summer.
TROPICAL FISH

Moorish Idols are one of the most beautiful fish we see on the reef

But, The King Angel Fish is striking also
NUDIBRANCHS

Nudibranchs appear in the summer they come all styles and colors
STARFISH

Colorful Starfish decorate the reef
SEAHORSES

We find lots of Seahorses in the Summer. Beautiful, delicate and colorful
SEALIONS

Sealions love to visit with the divers
MORAY EELS

Moray Eels are always exciting to see
THE BLUE WATER DIVES

Blue Water Dives give the divers a chance to see unique and beautiful life from another world and maybe even cross paths with a marlin
CABO PULMO

The reef at Cabo Pulmo is untouched and perfect. Every year conditions at Cabo Pulmo peak in October.
GORDO BANKS

The Scalloped Hammerhead Sharks have begun to appear at Gordo Banks. We will see them more and more as we get into the fall.
If you missed these great summer dives, don’t despair. You can put yourself in these photos. The Fall dive season starts on the first of October and by all indications it promises to be even better. The warm, clear water should stay with us through the end of November at least.
Plan to go diving soon, call Amigos Del Mar and make your reservation for an adventure you will talk about all winter long.
