A quality instructor focuses on safety and has the problem solving ability to ease your entry in to this new and strange world. We know the greater your comfort level the more likely you are to continue diving.
Knowing these things, the quality of your instruction is our highest priority at Amigos Del Mar. This is evident through the continual monitoring of the instructional staff by Amigos Del Mar management, by our strict adherence to PADI teaching standards, and mostly by the huge numbers of divers we’ve trained that return to dive or continue training with us year after year. We have trained many folks to dive over the years, many of them bringing their family members to us on subsequent vacations. . . . RESORT COURSE $115 per person
A 3 hour introduction to SCUBA for non-certified folks who want to experience diving. The perfect opportunity for the non-diver to enjoy the beauty and marine life of the Sea of Cortez in a safe, controlled manner. Guaranteed to be the ultimate experience of your vacation. Students first practice simple skills, and then when they are ready they do a 30' or shallower dive with their instructor in the tranquil Bay of San Lucas. Easy, Safe and Exciting. Includes equipment, boat charter, certified instructor and bottled water.
SCUBA DIVER CERTIFICATION COURSE $260* per person
3 days, approximately 4 hours per day. Includes; Classroom, Pool Sessions and two Ocean Dives. This is the new entry level of scuba certification from PADI. The PADI Scuba Diver Certification card is accepted all over the world. Price includes all gear, textbook, log book, dive tables, PADI certification fees, pool, boat charter, and instructor.

OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION COURSE $420* per person
5 days, approximately 4 hours per day. Includes; Classroom, Pool Session and four Ocean Dives. PADI International certification card issued after successful completion of course. Price includes all equipment, textbook, log book, dive tables, PADI certification fees, pool, boat charter, instructor and refreshments. We run small classes of 4 people maximum to ensure each student gets the special attention he/she deserves.

OPEN WATER REFERRAL $ 275* per person
2 days of 2 open water ocean dives per day. For students who have completed all their class and pool sessions, including final written exam. We issue their PADI Open Water Certification card after they successfully complete their 4 open water dives with Amigos Del Mar. Students must have in their possession a Student Referral Form, signed and dated by their previous Instructor. This form is valid for 12 months only and is a prerequisite for enrolling in this particular class. Price includes boat charter, PIC certification paperwork if necessary. All scuba equipment may be rented for $7.00 per piece per day; as with certified divers the max rental charge is $30.00 per day.
We are a “Universal Referral Location” and so accept Referred Students from all Agencies
ADVANCED DIVER COURSE $350 per person
The PADI Advanced Diver Course involves 5 dives in Five "Specialty Areas". There are two required specialty dives; these are in the areas of Deep Diving and Navigation. For the other three Specialty Dives you can choose areas that interest you from a long list including: Night Diving, Drift Diving, Boat Diving, Underwater Photography, Underwater Video, Buoyancy Control, The Marine Life of the Sea of Cortez, (which is distinctive to Amigos Del Mar).
There is a brief class session each day that cover the material for the day. Then we go diving, experiencing the actual material in the water where it counts.
At the end of this course you are truly an Advanced Diver! The course takes 3 days to complete.
Other Scuba Courses are available through Amigos Del Mar, including Rescue Diver Course and various Specialty Courses.
Private instruction is also available.
